Meeting Moe Wagner

Los Angeles Lakers 2018 first round draft pick Moe Wagner came to the Optometry Practice of Dr. Alex Corbin Liu. The seven foot center was there to get his eyes checked along with selecting personal eyewear.

Moe played his college ball at Michigan where he was a 2018 Second-team All-Big Ten. He had a good showing in the last Big Ten Tournament where he was named the tournaments MVP. Moe was very excited to be drafted by the Lakers and can’t wait to show his talents in L.A.

Moe is a very nice and polite kid. I want to wish him the best in his upcoming rookie season.

Meeting Dave Burba

Former MLB pitcher Dave Burba came to San Bernardino with his Lancaster JetHawks for a series against the Inland Empire 66ers. Dave is currently the JetHawks pitching coach. I met him a number of times back when he was with another California League team, the Modesto Nuts, as pictured above.

I already had Dave sign plenty of items for me, but this time around I wanted to have him sign a bobblehead. As always, Dave was friendly and happy to sign my items.

This is now the oldest bobblehead that I own. It’s a 2001 Cleveland Indians stadium giveaway.

Kyle Clifford, Tyler Toffoli, and Tanner Pearson Autograph Signing

There are many firsts in life. For me, this was one of them. I have never been to a hockey event or game in my life. I’ve just never been a hockey guy at all. I don’t watch the sport nor can I name many hockey players.

When the opportunity arrived at the Optometry Practice of Dr. Alex Corbin Liu to meet three current Los Angeles Kings, I had to take the shot. I had to see what I had been missing out on.

Kyle, Tyler, and Tanner were happy to meet with their fans at the office. The public event was a reasonable $60 to meet all three Kings and obtain an autograph from each player. Overall it was a success with the event being sold out.

All three Kings had holiday themed bobblehead giveaways this season. This is the complete holiday themed autographed bobblehead set.
